Global Wellness Summit Marks 20th Anniversary in Thailand

Thailand will host the 20th anniversary Global Wellness Summit this November, gathering international industry leaders at the Angsana Laguna Phuket to navigate a $6.8 trillion market currently undergoing a profound integration of medical science, longevity research, and traditional wellness practices.

The three-day event, themed "The Science, Art and Soul of Wellness," highlights a critical shift in the industry. As the sector matures, the focus is pivoting from standard consumer goods toward precision medicine, longevity science, and neuroaesthetics. The summit aims to bridge the gap between clinical health interventions and the cultural, spiritual, and creative dimensions of human wellbeing.

Industry experts, including geroscientist Andrea Maier and Blue Zones founder Dan Buettner, will address the evolving landscape of healthspan and personalized medicine. The agenda also emphasizes the rapid expansion of the Asian market, which saw wellness tourism grow 31% in 2024 to reach $215 billion. The Global Wellness Institute plans to release its 2026 Wellness Economy Monitor during the conference, offering updated data on these regional shifts. Beyond science, sessions will explore neuroarchitecture and the role of the arts in health, featuring collaborations with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Applied Neuroaesthetics to reimagine how future living spaces can actively foster wellbeing.
