Topgolf and First Tee Extend Partnership to Grow Youth Golf

Topgolf has renewed its long-standing partnership with First Tee, a national youth development nonprofit, to expand access to the sport. The collaboration leverages Topgolf’s nationwide venues and digital media network to foster character and resilience in young players, supporting the goal of cultivating 10 million new golfers by 2030.

The renewal follows the recent conclusion of the First Tee Game Changers Academy in Minneapolis, where the organizations focused on inclusive leadership and community development. As part of their ongoing strategy, Topgolf integrates First Tee programming across more than 25 of its venues and utilizes its network of 28,000 digital screens to promote life skills training. This partnership addresses a significant trend in the sports industry, where youth participation in golf has climbed 40% over the last five years.

To mark the agreement, First Tee participants and alumni are eligible for a $20 discount on gameplay at participating Topgolf locations through December 30. David McKillips, CEO of Topgolf, emphasized that the collaboration is central to the company’s decade-long objective of diversifying the sport, which includes a specific target of adding three million women to the game. Greg McLaughlin, CEO of First Tee, noted that Topgolf’s technology-driven environment serves as an effective entry point for youth, providing a welcoming space to build confidence both on and off the course. Currently, First Tee operates through a network of 150 U.S. chapters, reaching more than 3.1 million children and teens annually.
