Beer joins the Salem-based robotics developer during a critical scaling phase. He will oversee the company's financial strategy, capital markets, and investor relations. His arrival triggers a shift for current CFO and COO Jennifer Hunter, who will move to focus exclusively on her role as Chief Operating Officer. In that capacity, Hunter will manage the company's global manufacturing and supply chain expansion to meet demand from a growing pipeline of over 30 enterprise customers, including industry leaders like Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada and GXO.
CEO Peggy Johnson described the management shuffle as a necessary evolution to support the company’s transition to public markets. Beer brings extensive experience from his previous tenure as CFO at Energy Vault Holdings and a decade-long background as an equity research analyst covering logistics and infrastructure. His appointment arrives as Agility prepares to leverage a projected $620 million in gross proceeds from its upcoming business combination, backed by major strategic investors including NVIDIA, Amazon, and the SoftBank Vision Fund 2.
