The capital injection consists of AUD 300 million from La Caisse and an additional AUD 30 million from GO.FARM. This joint platform will target the development of irrigated, climate-resilient crops, leveraging land transformation projects across New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania. The partnership seeks to address a scarcity of high-quality agricultural investment opportunities for global institutions looking to secure exposure to food production and natural capital.
GO.FARM, founded in 2013 by Liam Lenaghan, currently manages approximately AUD 1.6 billion in assets. The firm’s strategy centers on converting underutilized acreage into productive farmland through data-driven land management and water efficiency. For La Caisse, the move deepens its existing Australian footprint, aligning its infrastructure and sustainability mandate with a local operator known for handling complex agricultural development. The collaboration reflects a broader trend among global funds prioritizing real assets that offer long-term stability against the backdrop of changing climate conditions.
