Mount St. Mary’s Earns National Recognition for Transfer Student Support

For the fourth consecutive year, Mount St. Mary’s University has secured a spot on the Phi Theta Kappa 2026 Transfer Honor Roll. The Emmitsburg-based institution joins a select group of 275 colleges nationwide recognized for building effective pathways that help community college students complete their bachelor’s degrees.

The honor evaluates universities across five critical metrics: acceptance of transfer credits, financial aid transparency, campus climate, student life, and overall graduation rates. By meeting these benchmarks, the university continues to solidify its reputation as a destination for students transitioning from two-year programs. Brandon Rockwell, associate director of admissions, credited the achievement to the school's ongoing commitment to fostering supportive academic environments for incoming transfer populations. The university currently offers over 80 majors across its Catoctin Mountains campus and its adult education site in Frederick.
