The new design features a full-coverage architecture that shields the device's spine, outer screen, and backplate. By integrating reinforced corners and a dual-layer build, the case meets military-grade standards for drops up to six feet. According to CEO Jeff Whitten, the objective was to maintain the company’s signature utility—specifically the RokLock twist-lock mounting system—while addressing the unique structural vulnerabilities of a foldable handset.
Beyond physical impact resistance, the case incorporates MAGMAX magnetic technology, which the company claims provides triple the holding strength of standard MagSafe accessories. This magnetic array allows for secure attachment to ROKFORM’s proprietary ecosystem of vehicle and sports mounts. Retailing for $79.99, the Rugged Case launches on August 5, 2026, and remains compatible with standard wireless charging protocols despite its reinforced exterior.
