The fourth annual ranking evaluates 500 companies across eight segments, ranging from neobanking to digital assets. PayJoy secured its position in the Alternative Financing category by demonstrating significant reach in regions where traditional financial infrastructure often bypasses first-time borrowers. The selection process relied on a mix of public data and self-reported performance metrics to identify leaders in digital funding.
Since its inception, the company has deployed its secured-credit technology to provide more than $3.5 billion in loans to over 20 million people. CEO and Co-Founder Doug Ricket noted that the recognition validates the firm’s impact on financial inclusion in countries including Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, and the Philippines. By utilizing machine learning and anti-fraud AI, PayJoy continues to facilitate participation in the modern economy for populations previously excluded from conventional credit systems.
