The acquisition, effective July 17, 2026, unites the Barcelona-based institution with a network serving more than 8,000 students annually. Financial terms remain undisclosed, but the move positions Triumph to leverage the Culinary Institute of Barcelona's (CIB) reputation for professional culinary training and business-oriented curriculum. CIB will retain its current campus, faculty, and unique methodology, ensuring continuity for its international student body.
This partnership aims to broaden global career pathways for students across North America and Europe. Future initiatives include shared access to a collective faculty of industry experts, expanded study-abroad opportunities in Spain, and enhanced online learning modules. Jack Larson, CEO of Triumph, noted that CIB’s focus on creativity and innovation complements the existing business training programs within the Escoffier brand. Founded in 2017, CIB has graduated over 1,300 students from more than 100 countries, with a high success rate for alumni launching their own food ventures. Josep Gala Micó, co-founder of CIB, stated that the integration provides the school with the resources of a global network while preserving the specific identity that has made the Barcelona campus a nominee for Europe's Best Culinary Training Institution.
