Sharon AI Taps Macquarie Veteran Anuj Goel as CFO

Sharon AI has tapped Anuj Goel, a seasoned executive from Macquarie Capital, to serve as its new Chief Financial Officer. The appointment marks a strategic push to bolster the Australian Neocloud company’s leadership as it scales its sovereign AI infrastructure and expands its cloud platform operations globally.

Goel arrives with two decades of experience at Macquarie, most recently leading the firm's technology division in the Asia-Pacific region. His background includes extensive work in venture capital, where he oversaw investments in digital infrastructure and technology firms such as PEXA and Temple & Webster. Starting August 24, he will oversee the company's capital management, financial strategy, and corporate development.

His arrival signals a transition for the current leadership team. Tim Broadfoot, who served as CFO during the company’s formative years, will step down from the post. Broadfoot will remain with the firm for several months to manage a handover, ensuring continuity as the company navigates its next phase of growth. CEO James Manning credited Goel’s deep sector knowledge as a vital asset for executing the firm’s long-term strategy.
