The integration of SecureOT technology allows Luminus to map its industrial environment with greater precision, identifying vulnerabilities across multi-vendor systems. By aligning with the IEC 62443 standard and the EU’s NIS2 Directive, the utility seeks to bridge the gap between operational continuity and modern cybersecurity requirements. The rollout follows a collaborative implementation model, where Rockwell Automation worked alongside internal Luminus teams to build native expertise for ongoing maintenance.
Maarten Baert, O&M Manager for Cybersecurity at Luminus, noted that the platform provides the necessary visibility to navigate complex compliance demands while empowering local teams to manage an expanding asset base. According to Rick Kaun, Global Director of Cybersecurity Services at Rockwell Automation, this structured approach enables energy producers to maintain consistent risk oversight as their infrastructure becomes increasingly connected.
