Yamaha Updates DXR Series with 2,000W mk3 Loudspeakers

With a 2,000W Class-D amplifier and 134 dB SPL output, Yamaha’s new DXR mk3 series targets the evolving demands of live sound professionals. The latest iteration of the company’s flagship powered speakers integrates advanced DSP and Bluetooth-enabled remote management, aiming to modernize setup efficiency for DJs and touring musicians.

The DXR mk3 series marks a significant performance shift for Yamaha, moving toward a more digitized workflow. Andres Franco, senior product marketing specialist at Yamaha Pro Audio, noted that the system is engineered to prioritize both acoustic output and operational speed. By introducing the D-Remote app, the series allows users to manage up to 10 speakers simultaneously from a mobile device, facilitating real-time adjustments to feedback suppression and room-specific EQ presets directly through a full-color LCD interface.

Beyond digital control, the hardware upgrades focus on durability and sonic consistency. The speakers provide enhanced high and low-frequency coverage across various applications, from front-of-house setups to stage monitoring. Yamaha has reinforced the product's market position with a 7-year warranty, positioning the units for both rental providers and permanent venue installations. The speakers are currently available through authorized Yamaha dealers nationwide.
