The integration allows Barclays to stream agented loan data directly to Versana, a shift designed to reduce operational friction and support internal AI applications for market participants. While the current rollout focuses on U.S. facilities, Barclays intends to expand the digital feed to include its European agented deals by 2027.
Cynthia Sachs, CEO of Versana, noted that the partnership increases the platform's market coverage and accelerates the industry’s transition toward a digitally native ecosystem. For Barclays, the move aligns with a broader strategy to improve data accuracy and decision-making for both bank and buyside clients. Tim Hartzell, Global Head of Portfolio Management at Barclays, emphasized that the direct integration is a critical step in driving industry-wide digital transformation.
Versana is currently scaling its infrastructure following a recent $43 million capital raise. With total facility coverage now exceeding $4.3 trillion in active commitments, the platform has introduced specialized tools such as the Reconciliation Module and cashless roll solutions to further streamline post-trade workflows.
