Kaycee Miller Named President of Southern Oregon Economic Board

Miller will oversee a board of more than 20 members representing 15 jurisdictions across Jackson and Josephine counties. Her mandate involves guiding SOREDI’s efforts to attract investment and foster entrepreneurship, a mission she has supported since joining the board in 2020. Her appointment comes as the organization continues its work as the region’s designated economic development district under the U.S. Economic Development Administration.

Having relocated to Southern Oregon in 2012, Miller has helped scale Rentec Direct into a nationally recognized company, earning repeated spots on the Inc. 5000 list. Blair Sundell, Executive Director of SOREDI, cited Miller’s blend of operational experience and commitment to regional growth as the primary drivers for her selection. Miller intends to leverage this background to help local firms thrive without the necessity of moving to major metropolitan hubs like Portland or Silicon Valley, emphasizing the region as a competitive environment for businesses of all sizes.
