Martins Sulte, CEO and co-founder of Mintos, argues that traditional fee structures often penalize smaller, recurring contributions. By eliminating costs, the platform ensures that the full amount of a retail investor's capital is deployed directly into the market rather than being eroded by execution charges. The new offering, developed in partnership with Upvest, focuses exclusively on UCITS-compliant funds from major issuers such as Vanguard, iShares, and VanEck.
The platform provides a dual approach for users: a self-directed model for picking individual funds and a managed option called Mintos Core ETFs. The latter offers an automatically rebalanced portfolio of equity and fixed-income assets. This infrastructure is designed to scale with the user, allowing beginners to start with automated tools before transitioning to a more active, self-selected strategy. Upcoming features include automated recurring investment plans, which will allow users to schedule contributions on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis.
