Jon Beill departs Asda’s retail media division LS Eleven

After two and a half years at the helm of Asda’s LS Eleven retail media and insights business, Director Jon Beill has announced his departure from the grocery giant. His tenure was marked by a period of aggressive transformation, focusing on scaling commercial operations and pioneering new digital advertising formats.

Beill characterized his time at the retailer as both challenging and rewarding, noting that the initial setup of LS Eleven represented some of the most compelling work of his career. During his second year, the focus shifted toward scaling existing retail media and insight frameworks. His tenure saw several strategic milestones, including the launch of the Asda Access offsite platform and the development of an ambitious rollout plan for in-store digital screens, currently slated for 2026.

Beyond infrastructure, Beill oversaw the debut of new advertising formats on Asda.com designed to enhance return on investment and the successful integration of branded partners into the company's 2024 Christmas television campaign—a first for the grocery sector. While Beill has kept details regarding his next professional chapter private, he confirmed that an announcement is forthcoming following a brief hiatus.
