The initiative transforms Corgi Cafe—a 24/7 hub for hackathons and product launches—into a studio space for illustrators, filmmakers, and writers. Residents will gain access to the company’s network of builders, alongside the physical resources needed to produce exhibitions and installations. The program intends to move beyond traditional corporate sponsorship by placing artists at the center of the technological narrative, treating their creative work as a vital component of industry growth.
Trevor Owens, Head of Cafe at Corgi, views the project as a natural evolution of the community-driven ethos found in digital art circles. By offering proximity to the founders shaping the current tech landscape, the company hopes to foster a collaborative environment where complex ideas are translated into tangible culture. Applications for the residency are currently open, with plans for the program to eventually scale to other Corgi Cafe locations nationwide.
