Bravo Fit currently operates 32 fitness centers and holds exclusive rights to develop up to 100 additional locations across Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland, and the Australian Capital Territory. Under the new ownership structure, the company plans to deploy fresh capital to accelerate this expansion while maintaining the established operational culture. Danielle Monroy will remain in her role as CEO of Bravo Fit, supported by newly appointed Chairman Rob Coombe, a veteran executive with decades of experience in the Australian consumer and financial sectors.
Planet Fitness CEO Colleen Keating stated that the divestment aligns with the company's strategy for international growth, proving the brand's viability in the Australian market since its entry seven years ago. For Franchise Equity Partners, the acquisition represents its first investment in an Australian-headquartered business and follows a broader strategy of backing multi-unit franchise operators. While the financial terms of the transaction remain undisclosed, the move allows Bravo Fit to scale its footprint without altering the high-value, low-price model that has defined its local presence.
