The partnership combines OpenAI’s advanced models—including GPT-5.6 and ChatGPT Work—with Bain’s extensive consulting footprint in sectors ranging from financial services to healthcare. According to Philippe d'Arabian, Bain’s global head of partnerships, the move formalizes a relationship that has been building since 2022. By integrating AI into core operational workflows, the consultancy aims to drive measurable gains in automation, supply chain efficiency, and product development for its client base.
Colleen Kapase, vice president of strategic global partnerships at OpenAI, noted that Bain’s role extends beyond mere implementation, as the firm provides critical insights into the real-world deployment challenges faced by large organizations. With this elevated status, Bain plans to roll out new industry-specific AI offerings designed to translate strategic ambition into tangible bottom-line results. The consultancy continues to position itself as a primary bridge between frontier AI capabilities and the complex requirements of the Global 500.
