Technical teams are currently bearing the brunt of these challenges. Data shows that 84% of AI engineering teams spend at least half their time maintaining guardrails, and 75% of enterprises prioritize spending on trust and security over actual AI development. Perhaps most telling is the 74% rollback rate for deployed AI agents, which climbs to 81% among firms with mature governance frameworks. According to Sinch Chief Marketing Officer Sophie Cheng, the failure to align these perspectives creates a dangerous blind spot in production readiness. The research indicates that satisfaction with communications infrastructure is the single strongest predictor of a successful AI rollout, outweighing investment levels or previous deployment experience.
