The PAC-3 ACE integrates directly with the existing Patriot weapon system and the Integrated Battle Command System, leveraging battle-proven software to bypass lengthy development phases. By streamlining the architecture, Lockheed Martin intends to field the effector in record time, providing a scalable solution for countering cruise missiles and short-range ballistic threats.
To ensure supply chain resilience, the company is coordinating with American and European industrial partners for joint development and production. Tim Cahill, president of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, emphasized that the project addresses the urgent need for a budget-smart, battle-tested defense capability that maintains the performance standards of the current PAC-3 network.
