US Strikes on Iranian Infrastructure Spark Humanitarian Crisis

The strike on the Bonji facility is part of a broader campaign targeting civilian infrastructure near the Strait of Hormuz. According to Iranian officials, US forces have hit nine bridges, two airports, a railroad junction, and a road tunnel since Wednesday. The violence has resulted in at least 41 deaths and over 400 injuries this month, with casualties including women and children. As the conflict widens, Iranian forces have launched retaliatory strikes against infrastructure in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, targeting power plants and oil facilities to demonstrate the reach of their response. Meanwhile, Iran's UN representative Amir-Saeid Iravani warned Secretary-General António Guterres that the systematic targeting of essential logistics and transportation networks poses a grave threat to regional stability and international law.
