The certification, presented by IATA’s Senior Vice President Frédéric Leger to Maran Ganapathy of National Airlines, marks the company's fifth formal recognition from the association. This assessment program evaluates an organization’s performance through strict risk management and compliance protocols, setting a benchmark for aviation operators aiming to reduce their environmental footprint while maintaining operational discipline.
Chairman Christopher Alf noted that the achievement provides a foundation for embedding sustainable practices throughout the airline's logistics and charter services. This latest milestone follows a series of IATA CEIV certifications for the carrier, which already covers specialized handling for pharmaceuticals, live animals, lithium batteries, and fresh goods. Based in Orlando, the Part 121 carrier currently operates a fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft, facilitating logistics for diverse sectors ranging from defense and automotive to space technology.
