Beyond her enthusiasm for a potential series revival, Kemper is currently focused on balancing her professional commitments with motherhood. As a mother to two boys, ages 6 and 9, she has teamed up with Pirate’s Booty for their Captain Bob’s Summer Quest, a project designed to encourage screen-free, imaginative play. Kemper noted that the initiative provides a necessary reprieve during the chaotic summer months when school is out and balancing work-life demands becomes increasingly difficult.
Reflecting on her career, Kemper shared that she holds tender memories of her time on Kimmy Schmidt, particularly the chance to collaborate with creators Robert Carlock and Tina Fey. She also discussed her earlier tenure on The Office, a series she was a fan of long before joining the cast in its fifth season. Kemper attributed the enduring popularity of that show to its relatable characters and sharp writing, noting that she remains grateful to have been part of the project. When she isn't on set, the actress maintains a long-standing family tradition of visiting relatives in San Diego and St. Louis, ensuring her children connect with their cousins despite the summer heat.
