Iranian Official Alleges Israeli Influence Campaign Led by Trump Ally

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi claims that while Washington warns of foreign election interference, a significant influence campaign is being directed by Brad Parscale, a former Trump campaign manager now acting as a registered foreign agent for the Israeli government to shape American conservative opinion.

The Iranian diplomat’s critique follows allegations that Parscale’s firm, Clock Tower X, was hired to bolster support for Israel among young American conservatives. According to reporting by Time, the operation functions through a network of interconnected firms that provide conservative influencers with specific messaging for platforms like X, Instagram, and TikTok, compensating them based on engagement metrics. An anonymous Israeli official noted that Parscale marketed his services by leveraging his deep understanding of the digital architecture and political movement behind Donald Trump’s previous presidential campaigns.

Beyond public-facing content, some administration officials have raised concerns that these activities include efforts to undermine potential peace deals regarding the conflict with Iran. Parscale has categorically denied these accusations, stating he has never participated in any effort to obstruct the president’s diplomatic proposals or ceasefire negotiations. This public exchange marks a pointed rebuttal to accusations of foreign meddling recently leveled by the Trump administration against the Chinese government.
