SIP Awards Names 2026 Global Beverage Winners

More than 1,300 entries from over 40 countries competed in this year's SIP Awards, a contest where consumer palates, rather than industry experts, determine the outcome. The 18th annual event concluded with high honors for spirits ranging from American bourbon to Fijian rum, prioritizing real-world appeal over professional bias.

The competition, often dubbed the "World Cup of Spirits & Beverages," relies on a proprietary double-blind tasting process. Over 350 participants conducted more than 400 sessions to evaluate everything from ready-to-drink mixers to non-alcoholic options. Beyond liquid quality, judges also scrutinized packaging design, rewarding brands that balance shelf presence with craftsmanship.

Founder Pouya Hashemi noted that the competition serves as a vital bridge between producers and the public. By stripping away branding and expert influence, the evaluation highlights what actually resonates with buyers in the current market. This year, the Best of Class honors showcased a diverse international field, including Elijah Craig Small Batch from the United States, Camikara Cask Aged Rum from India, and Bati Banana Rum from Fiji. Other notable winners included Courvoisier XO, Baileys Original Irish Cream, and Royal Mash Vodka. The full list of Platinum, Double Gold, and Innovation awardees is now available on the organization’s website as the industry prepares for the upcoming SoCal Cocktail & Spirits Fest this fall.
