Skanska Secures $390 Million Contract for Idaho Fabrication Plant

A 390 million dollar deal brings a new high-tech fabrication facility to Boise, Idaho, as construction giant Skanska confirms it has finalized terms with a confidential client. The project, which includes a dedicated Central Utility Plant and site infrastructure, will bolster the company's US order bookings for the third quarter.

Construction activity is already underway at the Idaho site, marking the start of a project scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2028. Beyond the primary fabrication building, the scope of work encompasses the development of a complex utility plant and the necessary supporting infrastructure to power the facility’s specialized operations.

This contract, valued at approximately 3.6 billion Swedish kronor, represents a significant addition to Skanska’s American portfolio. The company continues to lean into the industrial sector, focusing on high-tech manufacturing expansion within the United States.
