Kallikor founder Jonathan Barrett steps down as Jack O’Connell takes CEO role

Co-founder Jack O’Connell has been named CEO of supply chain technology firm Kallikor, as the company formalizes its leadership transition. Jonathan Barrett, who launched the business in 2024, will exit the top post to lead a newly established advisory board focused on the next stage of company growth.

The appointment marks a strategic shift for the startup as it scales its AI-powered Adaption platform. O’Connell, who has been with the company since its inception, inherits a firm that recently gained traction through a high-profile partnership with Morrisons. The retailer is currently using Kallikor’s digital twin technology to model and optimize its national supply chain network.

Barrett will maintain a presence within the business through the new advisory board, which features several industry veterans. The board includes former Morrisons logistics director Ross Eggleton, former Tesco/Tata India CEO Martin Bailie, and former Asda Chief Supply Chain Officer Mark Simpson. This group will provide the strategic oversight necessary to meet increasing market demand for decision-confidence tools in retail logistics.
