Marc Lore’s Wonder Hits $9 Billion Valuation with $650 Million Raise

A $9 billion pre-money valuation now anchors Marc Lore’s food technology startup, Wonder, following a $650 million Series D funding round. The capital injection positions the company to aggressively scale its robotics-driven infrastructure and physical footprint as it prepares for a potential public offering within the next three to four years.

Existing backers including Accel, GV, and New Enterprise Associates anchored the round, joined by new participants such as ARK Invest and AllianceBernstein. The funding arrives as Wonder works to solidify a model that leverages proprietary robotics and AI to deliver restaurant-quality meals at a speed and price point traditional competitors struggle to replicate. According to Lore, the new capital is earmarked for marketplace expansion and continued investment in the technical systems that underpin the platform's kitchen operations.

Investors expressed confidence in the company’s trajectory, with ARK Invest founder Cathie Wood citing the platform’s potential to redefine the economics of high-end food delivery. Tony Florence of NEA noted that the firm’s ongoing support stems from the startup’s ability to execute at scale in an industry historically resistant to rapid technological shifts. With operations expanding, the company has set its sights on a public market debut between 2027 and 2028.
