Private schools are increasingly caught between the demand for highly personalized family experiences and the reality of mounting administrative overhead. Mark Davis, Blackbaud’s vice president of education products, noted that staff currently dedicate more than half their time to manual tasks. The company’s new strategy seeks to flip this ratio by embedding intelligent automation directly into its Total School Solution, allowing educators to focus on student outcomes rather than system management.
The upcoming Admissions Agent, part of the broader Agents for Good initiative, functions as a concierge to guide families through the enrollment funnel. It handles routine inquiries and identifies potential drop-off points in the application process, operating under human-centric guardrails. Beyond admissions, Blackbaud is rolling out a series of integrated updates, including predictive Candidate Insights, an AI-enabled Collections Assistant for finance departments, and a Common Records Engine that synchronizes data between student information and fundraising systems in real time. These tools are intended to break down departmental silos, ensuring that school staff can access and act upon institutional data without fragmented manual entry.
