Sobi Revenue Climbs 29 Percent as Rare Disease Portfolio Expands

Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB reported a sharp revenue increase to SEK 7.8 billion for the second quarter of 2026, driven by aggressive growth in its haematology and immunology divisions. The Stockholm-based biopharma firm now anticipates stronger annual performance, raising its full-year growth outlook to mid-to-high teens percentage at constant exchange rates.

The company’s strategic portfolio proved central to this performance, surging 53 percent to SEK 5.1 billion. Haematology revenue reached SEK 5.7 billion, fueled largely by Altuvoct sales of SEK 1.55 billion and Doptelet sales of SEK 1.63 billion. Immunology products also performed well, with Gamifant and Kineret contributing to a 37 percent segment increase. These gains pushed adjusted earnings per share to SEK 4.00, compared to SEK 2.38 in the same period last year.

Beyond financial results, the company reported progress in its clinical pipeline. Positive topline results arrived from the Phase 3 REDUCE 2 study for Pozdeutinurad, a potential treatment for gout. While the company received a Complete Response Letter regarding manufacturing processes for its gout candidate NASP, management indicated a clear path toward resubmission. Following these results, Sobi adjusted its 2026 guidance, projecting an adjusted EBITA margin in the mid-to-high 30s.
