The addition of the BitLocker Manager is the centerpiece of this release, available even in the software's Free Edition. Users can now toggle encryption on or off and monitor storage metrics for protected drives without exiting the utility. Beyond simple encryption controls, the update significantly broadens the scope of supported operations for BitLocker-protected volumes, allowing tasks such as resizing, cloning, and formatting on both system and data partitions depending on their current security state.
Technical performance also receives a boost with support for NTFS cluster sizes reaching up to 2 MB, aligning the software with current Windows limitations for large storage configurations. The development team has further refined the underlying resize logic, selecting processing methods based on specific partition layouts to improve system compatibility. On the interface side, version 13.9 enhances usability for high-DPI displays and ensures better alignment with Windows Disk Management numbering, alongside improved compatibility with Windows 11 Administrator Protection protocols.
