Under Camp Lake Capital, the 1984-founded company aggressively expanded its footprint in the utility sector, leveraging technical expertise to secure a larger market share. The firm also scaled its infrastructure, moving into a new global headquarters and significantly increasing warehouse capacity to support its transit, industrial, and renewable energy clientele.
Matt Parsons, managing partner at Camp Lake Capital, credited the leadership of CEO Jerry James and COO Mike Ip for the company's successful strategic execution. James noted that the partnership was instrumental in cementing the firm’s status as a leader in wire and cable distribution. Looking ahead, the ECS executive team expects to integrate the specialized resources and distribution expertise offered by their new owners at Emerald Lake Capital. Legal counsel for the sale was provided by Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., with initial acquisition financing secured through First American Bank.
