Transcend PBC Commits $20 Million to Psychedelic Mental Health Access

Transcend Public Benefit Corporation is deploying $20 million over the coming year to accelerate research and broaden patient access within the psychedelic therapeutics sector. The initiative aims to support infrastructure development for underserved populations, including sexual trauma survivors and those grappling with addiction or end-of-life care.

The capital originates from the founders' commitment to reinvesting a share of their exit value back into the ecosystem that fostered their therapeutic research. By targeting specific, catalytic moments rather than funding saturated projects, the organization intends to bridge the gap between clinical evidence and real-world treatment delivery. CEO Blake Mandell noted that while the industry has spent a decade building a robust evidence base, the current priority must shift toward scaling effective patient care.

The initiative is not currently accepting open applications. Instead, the team is conducting direct outreach to identify nonprofit organizations that align with their specific clinical and social objectives. Executive Director Nicolas Boillot is managing inquiries for those seeking to engage with the program.
