Decathlon Scales Digital Shelf Technology to 700 Locations

Sporting goods giant Decathlon has expanded its partnership with Vusion, reaching a milestone of 700 stores equipped with digital shelf labels. The rollout, completed in the second quarter of 2026, spans 54 countries across Europe, South America, and Asia-Pacific, cementing its status as Vusion’s most extensive international deployment.

Automating price management through Vusion’s platform eliminates the manual labor of replacing paper tags, allowing store associates to prioritize customer service and personalized advice. By synchronizing prices across the network, the retailer reports near-total elimination of checkout discrepancies, a factor that strengthens consumer trust and reinforces the brand's reputation for quality.

Technical integration relies on Decathlon’s existing Cisco Meraki network infrastructure, enabling a cloud-based deployment that avoids the need for additional hardware. Xavier Dété, VP of Innovation at Decathlon, noted that the technology provides tangible benefits by freeing staff from routine tasks. Sébastien Fourcy, SEVP EMEA at Vusion, emphasized that the partnership validates their ability to industrialize retail solutions within the competitive sporting goods sector.
