The collaboration builds upon a relationship established in 2019, when Hanshow first joined Microsoft’s AI & IoT Insider Lab. Their joint efforts have already resulted in the deployment of over 200 million electronic shelf labels supported by Azure infrastructure. This latest commitment focuses on scaling these technologies to provide retailers with responsive, data-backed workflows that bridge the gap between physical storefronts and cloud-based analytics.
A focal point of this expanded effort is xPilot, an AI-powered retail assistant launched at NRF 2026 APAC. By utilizing Hanshow’s Store Digital Twin technology alongside Microsoft’s cloud capabilities, the platform is designed to convert real-time store data into actionable operational insights. According to Liangyan Li, SVP at Hanshow, the partnership aims to provide global retailers with a more robust technology foundation, while Microsoft’s VP of Global ISV Business, Sandy Gupta, emphasized that the synergy is intended to solve concrete operational hurdles through a unified ecosystem of AI and cloud tools.
