The festivities kick off Thursday at 7 p.m. at Toshiba Plaza, followed by an 8 p.m. parade starting at Park MGM. The procession, featuring athlete-laden floats and local community groups, will wind down Las Vegas Boulevard before returning to the plaza for a formal Key to the Strip presentation. The evening concludes with live performances from Public Enemy, Blue deTiger, and Grace Bowers. All public-facing events are free to attend.
Flavor Flav’s initiative gained rapid traction after he publicly challenged the lack of recognition for female athletes earlier this year. Following approval from Clark County Commissioners in May, the project expanded to include curated panels and exclusive athlete experiences, such as meet-and-greets with the Backstreet Boys and Ed Sheeran. Beyond the entertainment, the weekend emphasizes mental health advocacy, partnering with the #NotAloneChallenge to provide resources for elite competitors. MGM Resorts will also host a private dinner for the honorees, marking a significant cultural moment for the city’s sports scene.
