Roanoke Inventor Pitches Secure Outdoor Package Storage

"I thought there should be a way to protect delivered packages against theft and the elements," said the Roanoke-based inventor behind the Pirate Chest + Kraken Strap. This patent-pending outdoor storage unit aims to shield parcels from both porch pirates and unpredictable weather conditions, offering a residential solution for doorstep security.

The device features a design intended for simple anchoring and everyday use, allowing homeowners to secure deliveries in a dedicated enclosure. By combining a storage unit with the Kraken Strap system, the inventor seeks to mitigate risks associated with package theft and environmental exposure. A prototype and accompanying technical drawings are currently available for review.

InventHelp, which manages the submission for the inventor, is actively seeking manufacturers or marketers interested in licensing or purchasing the rights to the product. Interested parties can reach the company’s Pittsburgh office under reference number 25-RKH-1024 to discuss potential development or acquisition opportunities.
