The hospital’s latest achievement places it among a select group of U.S. medical institutions that simultaneously hold both the Pathway to Excellence and Magnet designations. Chief Nursing Officer Ariam Yitbarek noted that the honor validates the intensive dedication of the facility’s staff, following their Magnet status acquisition in June 2025. The designation process requires a rigorous review of internal policies and culture, verified directly by nursing staff through confidential surveys.

Since 2016, the hospital has utilized the ANCC framework to overhaul its practice environment, securing its initial designation in 2017 and a subsequent renewal in 2022. This current status remains active until 2030, underscoring a long-term shift in operational culture. By exceeding standard requirements, the hospital signals a measurable focus on nurse empowerment and the delivery of high-quality patient care across its clinical departments.
