Clinical data suggests this formulation offers a faster recovery time than neostigmine, with a lower incidence of adverse events. B. Braun expects the single-dose vials to provide a stable, cost-effective supply chain for acute care facilities, which have long relied on the branded version of the drug.

Jeremy Greene, Senior Director of Pharma Marketing at B. Braun, noted that the launch is part of a broader strategy to bolster the company’s portfolio of essential injectable medications. By introducing this generic option, the Bethlehem-based manufacturer aims to alleviate supply pressures for anesthesia providers while reducing costs for healthcare systems. The product will feature a 24-month shelf life from the date of its release.
