The integration of ECC brings specialized expertise in managing hazardous and non-hazardous materials for clients in the manufacturing, telecommunications, and government sectors. By absorbing ECC’s infrastructure, VLS strengthens a regional network that already spans from San Diego and Phoenix down to Tijuana, while simultaneously bolstering its processing capacity in Texas sites like Deer Park and Corpus Christi.
John Magee, CEO of VLS, highlighted the move as a catalyst for geographic growth and enhanced service delivery. David Rains, the former owner of ECC, will transition into the role of Senior Director of Business Improvement at VLS. The combined organization intends to leverage these unified logistics and processing capabilities to offer more agile, compliant waste management services throughout the western United States.
