Al Awadhi’s rapid ascent in the mountaineering world began as a response to personal adversity. While navigating her father’s health crisis during high school, she joined the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award scheme, discovering a profound connection to the sport during a trek in Nepal. Since her first 5,000-meter climb in July 2025, she has secured summits on Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Elbrus, Mount Vinson, and the Carstensz Pyramid.
Balancing these grueling expeditions with full-time university studies in Economics, the Abu Dhabi native maintains a rigorous schedule of technical training and logistical preparation. Her current mission in the Pamir Mountains serves as a pivotal challenge, pushing her elevation threshold significantly higher than previous climbs. Beyond the physical milestones, Al Awadhi views her journey as a platform to inspire resilience among her peers. She credits the UAE leadership for her progress, describing the support from Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as a primary motivation. As she continues toward her goal of completing the Seven Summits before age 20, she is already planning a future double-summit attempt on Mount Everest and Lhotse.
