The transition to a managed cloud environment allows the hospital to handle an annual volume exceeding 250,000 imaging exams. By offloading system monitoring, security, and scalability to Sectra, the hospital intends to sharpen its focus on clinical collaboration and consistent diagnostic quality. This move aligns with the organization's broader digital strategy, which already integrates robotics and automated laboratory services to reduce patient recovery times and clinical risks.
Jhanvi Solanki, Vice President of Clinical Programs at the hospital, described the adoption as a strategic investment to maintain the institution's leadership in digital health. For Sectra, the deal represents a growing trend among Canadian healthcare providers to prioritize cloud-based interoperability. Nader Soltani, President of Sectra Canada, noted that the cloud infrastructure provides clinicians with reliable, on-demand access to patient studies, regardless of their location within the Humber River Health network.
