The investment targets two specific geographical hubs to bolster capacity. In Italy, the company is installing two advanced production lines dedicated to extruded ice creams and linear moulded lollies, capable of producing complex seven-layered designs. Simultaneously, the firm’s Langemark facility in Belgium is slated for significant infrastructure upgrades, including expanded warehousing and modernized cooling systems to improve overall operational efficiency.
Beyond hardware, Glacier is finalizing designs for a dedicated innovation centre in Cavriago, Italy. Expected to open by the end of the year, the facility will feature a multi-sensory kitchen and interactive studio designed to shrink the time between concept and shelf. Managing Director Matt Frost noted that the move is a direct response to a market increasingly favoring fruit-based, lower-calorie options that maintain premium standards. By integrating co-development spaces, the company intends to provide retail partners with faster access to differentiated product portfolios.
