The Building Performance Association, alongside TixStone Solutions and CareerEquity, is spearheading the effort to connect HVAC contractors and training providers with a new pipeline of skilled labor. Heidi Kunsch, Environmental Group Manager at the Pennsylvania DEP, emphasized that the program provides the necessary tools for both employers and workers to navigate the expanding market for high-quality installations.
The initiative targets three specific groups: individuals entering the HVAC field, companies looking to improve existing staff expertise, and educational institutions aiming to increase enrollment in specialized courses. Beyond curriculum, participants may access financial assistance and career navigation support. This push comes at a critical time, as Pennsylvania currently ranks 11th in the nation for energy efficiency jobs, boasting over 76,000 positions in the sector. Interested organizations and workers can register for the program at www.PennHPP.com.
