Bad Bunny Secures Nine Emmy Nominations for Super Bowl Halftime Show

The Television Academy has recognized Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX Halftime Show with nine Emmy nominations, marking a historic milestone for the Puerto Rican artist. This achievement places his performance in contention for Outstanding Variety Special, signaling his continued dominance across the global entertainment landscape.

The performance, which captivated millions, stands as the artist’s first Emmy-nominated project. Beyond the marquee nomination for Outstanding Variety Special (Live), the production secured nods for Outstanding Choreography, Directing, Hairstyling, and Production Design. Bad Bunny faces stiff competition, with the special pitted against the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, the Oscars, and the 78th Annual Tony Awards.

This recognition follows a string of record-breaking feats for the singer. Earlier this year, his album "Debí Tirar Más Fotos" became the first Spanish-language project to win the Grammy for Album of the Year. Simultaneously, he reclaimed his title as Spotify’s most-streamed global artist for a fourth time, amassing 19.8 billion streams. His commercial momentum remains equally formidable; he recently became the first Latin artist to surpass $1 billion in career touring grosses, an accomplishment achieved without a single U.S. date on his current tour. The "Debí Tirar Más Fotos" World Tour continues to sell out, with total grosses projected to hit $450 million by its conclusion.
