The survey highlights a stark decline in support for the US-Israel alliance, marking the highest level of opposition since polling began in November 2023. Among Democrats, the divide is particularly acute: 75% oppose continued military shipments, while only 18% favor them. For the first time in the poll's history, more respondents expressed sympathy for Palestinians (37%) than for Israelis (36%).
Public opinion is hardening against the backdrop of escalating violence and reports of man-made famine in Gaza. Half of all Americans, including 77% of Democrats, now describe Israel’s actions as genocide.
