Tarkett Secures Third Consecutive EcoVadis Platinum Rating

With a score of 88/100, Tarkett has secured a Platinum Medal from EcoVadis for the third year running, placing the flooring manufacturer in the top 1% of over 150,000 companies assessed globally. This recognition underscores the firm's ongoing efforts to integrate circular economy principles into its international operations.

Jay Henry, senior director of innovation and sustainability for Tarkett North America, described the achievement as a reflection of sustained efforts to elevate environmental standards across design and manufacturing. Tarkett remains the only multi-product firm in the flooring and sports surface industry to consistently reach this level of EcoVadis certification.

The company’s sustainability roadmap centers on aggressive emission reduction and material circularity. By 2030, Tarkett aims to cut greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 30% against a 2019 baseline. Furthermore, the firm is working to increase recycled content in its products to 30%, a significant jump from its 10% benchmark in 2018. These climate targets, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative, complement the company’s ReStart take-back program, which processes flooring materials regardless of the original manufacturer. Beyond the EcoVadis rating, the group secured a CDP Climate A score earlier this year, positioning it among the top 4% of companies evaluated for climate performance.
