The experience centers on the Apollo missions, utilizing digital restoration work from expert Andy Saunders alongside new interviews with Artemis astronauts. Created by the London-based studio Lightroom, the show aims to bridge the gap between historical space achievements and the future of lunar travel through large-scale visual storytelling.
Tom Hanks, who co-wrote and narrates the production, described the project as an attempt to capture the human commitment behind the original moon landings. South Florida PBS President and CEO Dolores Fernandez Alonso noted that the exhibition aligns with the organization's focus on education and innovation.
