London to Host Inaugural Global Summit on Regulatory Science

Taking place during London Life Sciences Week, the summit arrives as regulators grapple with the integration of AI, digital health tools, and advanced modalities like mRNA and gene therapies. The partnership seeks to establish a permanent forum for cross-border cooperation, connecting government authorities with industry leaders, academics, and patient advocates to standardize evidence-based regulatory frameworks.

Organizers have appointed a 14-member Program Committee featuring experts from Merck, AstraZeneca, GSK, and the MHRA to steer the agenda. The two-day program will focus on modernizing clinical research, utilizing real-world evidence, and accelerating access to treatments for rare diseases. By combining DIA’s global reach with the MHRA’s regulatory mandate, the initiative intends to move beyond traditional dialogue to produce actionable policy outputs for international health systems.
