ActBlue Hits Record $586 Million in Small-Dollar Donations

With an average contribution of just $39, Democratic small-dollar donors funneled $586 million through ActBlue during the second quarter of 2026. This performance marks the platform’s strongest non-presidential quarter on record, effectively neutralizing a wave of Republican political attacks aimed at discouraging grassroots participation across the country.

The fundraising surge represents a 14 percent increase over the same period in the 2022 midterm cycle. According to ActBlue CEO Regina Wallace-Jones, these figures reflect a motivated donor base responding to high-stakes legal and political events, including Supreme Court rulings regarding the Civil Rights Act and federal debates over birthright citizenship. Primary elections in Colorado and Texas further galvanized the donor network throughout the spring months.

Financial data confirms the breadth of this engagement: federal campaigns captured $388 million, while state and local candidates secured $150 million. The platform also facilitated $48 million for various civic organizations. With the addition of 573,000 first-time donors and a 51 percent growth in the number of campaigns utilizing the service compared to 2022, ActBlue has expanded its reach to over 20,000 committees. Despite persistent Republican efforts to pressure the platform, the data indicates that donors view such interference as a distraction rather than a deterrent, pushing total contributions to 15 million transactions for the quarter.
